About the position:

The Senior Manager, Infrastructure & Security leads the development and management of secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure systems that support the organization’s national operations and services. They also ensure infrastructure and cybersecurity practices support NGen's vision of building world-leading capabilities in advanced manufacturing and technology innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain NGen's Security Management Framework.
  • Provide foundational infrastructure frameworks enabling rapid service/operation development.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure policies, procedures, and best practice guides.
  • Manage service delivery and IT support across the organization.
  • Conduct regular system audits and monitor infrastructure performance, recommending continuous improvements.
  • Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team to support day-to-day service delivery and infrastructure operations.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with technology, software, and security vendors.
  • Monitor and report on vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead infrastructure projects, including timeline creation and budget management.
  • Deliver infrastructure and security performance reports to senior staff.

Desired Skills & Experience

Our ideal candidate possesses the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field. An equivalent combination of post-secondary education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator
  • CompTIA Cloud+ Certification
  • Certified Information Security Manager/CISM (asset)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional/CISSP (asset)
  • 7+ years experience in security framework design, implementation, and monitoring (Microsoft Sentinel, Qualys preferred).
  • 7+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting, with proven experience working with: AWS (Redshift, Lambda); Microsoft O365 and Azure; Salesforce; Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Jira, GitHub); WordPress.
  • 8+ years experience leading diverse infrastructure and support teams, ideally within a remote work environment.
  • Experience in vendor relationship and budget management.
  • Demonstrated ability of aligning IT strategy with organizational goals while anticipating emerging technology trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally while building trusted relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to translate technical information clearly for both executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Results oriented with the ability to manage complex projects with measurable impact, within scope and budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems through data-driven insights and system-based analysis.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
  • Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset.
