The University of Ottawa is the largest bilingual (English-French) university in the world. Located in the heart of Canada’s national capital, the university has ready access to public, private and non-profit institutions driving cutting-edge research and innovation. With a community of over 48,000 students, the University ranks among Canada's top ten research intensive universities. The University collaborates with a network of affiliated hospitals and hospital-based research institutes, with a new Advanced Medical Research Centre opening in 2026. Canada's national capital is also home to Kanata North, North America's second largest tech park, where the university operates a campus to support research and development opportunities with industry partners. Priority areas: artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, semiconductors, cybersecurity, and medical and life sciences.
