Trade secrets, as defined by the WIPO, are “intellectual property rights on confidential information which may be sold or licensed.” But what exactly qualifies as a “trade secret” and how do you protect it?

SR&ED for the EV Supply Chain: A webinar by NGen and the CRA

On January 30, 2024, NGen and the Canada Revenue Agency will host a webinar on the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Incentive Program. Each year, the SR&ED program provides over $3 billion dollars in tax incentives to encourage businesses in all industry sectors to conduct research and development in Canada. The program is currently working with businesses involved in the Electric Vehicle supply chain to offer learning opportunities and information on how to access SR&ED tax incentives. Webinar attendees will learn about the program’s benefits, eligibility requirements and free services offered to businesses. SR&ED technical and financial representatives will also answer questions from participants.
