NGen October 9, 2025
This year's event holds a special significance as it marks EMO's 50th anniversary, and Canada is making history as its first official Alliance Country, a powerful recognition of our growing ties and collaborative spirit with European partners.
We're proud to report that Canada's presence at EMO Hannover, the world's premier trade fair for metalworking and production technology, has been a resounding success!
The exhibition floor is a hive of activity, and the buzz around Canadian innovation is palpable. Our delegation is here to not only showcase the best of Canadian advanced manufacturing but also to forge new international partnerships and solidify our position as a global leader in industrial technology.
Spotlighting Canadian Excellence in Hall 12
The Canada Pavilion in Hall 12 has been a must-see destination all week. We hosted a dynamic group of 15 Canadian exhibitors who are showcasing cutting-edge solutions from across the country. These companies represent the diversity and technological prowess of our advanced manufacturing ecosystem, spanning areas critical to the future of the industry, including:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) for optimized production.
- Precision Manufacturing and high-performance tooling.
- Automation and Robotics that enhance efficiency and output.
- Digital Solutions that drive the Industry 4.0 revolution.
From Vancouver to Halifax, these innovators are demonstrating how Canadian technology is leading the charge in developing smarter, greener, and more resilient production systems.
Where Ideas Ignite: Welcome to "Jays Cabin"
More than just an exhibition space, the Canada Pavilion features the wildly popular "Jays Cabin", a dedicated hub for conversation, networking, and insight.
All week, this intimate setting has hosted Canadian and international thought leaders for panels and discussions that spark global conversations on the most pressing topics facing the manufacturing sector. From supply chain resilience to the digital transformation of the factory floor, "Jays Cabin" has become the place to connect with the minds shaping the future of metalworking and production technology. It's truly a microcosm of the collaborative spirit NGen champions, bringing together technology providers, manufacturers, and global investors.
NGen CEO Jayson Myers had the distinct honour of hosting Evelyne Coulombe (Chargée d’affaires a.i., Embassy of Canada in Germany) at the Cabin. Ms. Coulombe’s insights provided a valuable perspective from the diplomatic front, perfectly illustrating the strong governmental support behind our industry’s push for global expansion.
In their discussion, Ms. Coulombe highlighted the enthusiasm and ambition of the great Canadian companies looking to diversify their exports into new international markets. She noted that the energy and engagement seen at EMO are a clear sign of success
A Historic Alliance: Looking to the Future
Being named EMO's first Alliance Country is a major milestone for Canadian advanced manufacturing. This designation reinforces the global value of Canadian innovation and deepens our strategic relationships with key trading partners in Europe.
As NGen, Canada's Global Innovation Cluster for Advanced Manufacturing, our mission is to build world-leading capabilities in Canada. Our presence here is an essential step in that journey, providing our companies with an unparalleled platform to:
- Attract global investment and talent.
- Access new markets and international supply chains.
- Collaborate on the next generation of industrial technology.
The enthusiasm and interest we've seen from the global manufacturing community prove that Canada is viewed as a reliable, innovative, and essential partner in shaping the future of production.
Thank you to all the Canadian exhibitors and delegates for representing our country with such distinction! We look forward to carrying this momentum forward as we continue to drive digital transformation and solidify Canada's place on the global manufacturing stage.
