Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (“NGen”) is a not-for-profit organization that matches manufacturing companies with new technologies to drive advanced manufacturing in Canada. We are the engine of the Canadian government’s ambitious investment in the Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster, matching federal funds and private investments to industry-led projects.

We promote technology adoption, skills improvements and greater collaboration between technology and manufacturing to help Canadian companies of all sizes navigate the global shift to advanced manufacturing. We use data to link companies, researchers, and investors so they can work together to invent new products or processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains Chief Manufacturing Officer’s (CMO) appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.

  • Supports Capacity Building team by providing administrative support, including preparing needed documents and spreadsheets.

  • Producing reports and presentations in support of the weekly team and quarterly board meetings, including collecting data & materials from members of the team.

  • Acting as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients, and other external partners

  • Routinely interfaces with internal and external stakeholders in support of organizational objectives.

  • Documents minutes of team meetings and maintains action item logs.

  • Supports CMO in managing staff follow-up on assigned tasks and deadlines.

  • Supports AMPUP training program by reviewing and filing applications, notifying trainees and training organizations, and managing and tracking invoices. Follows up with participants regarding satisfaction with training.

  • Assists in the management of NGen webinar series by preparing invitations and managing event sign-ups.

  • Supports the NGen team in organizing and managing meetings and events.

  • Assists CMO in digital marketing activities through Social Medial channels in support of the organization.

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Other responsibilities as required.
